Currently, Private Investigators are not licensed within the UK however there have been many conversations in parliament surrounding the regulation in the industry.
However here at Private Investigator Leeds, We believe that licensing would be great for the industry and it will ensure everyone operates to a particular standard and ensure all investigators are acting lawfully.
Private Detective Leeds are current member of The Institute Of Professional Investigators.
The Institute Of Professional Investigators has recently worked alongside WAPI & UKPIN who are other professional organisations within the sector to fill the void on licensing and have come up with a joint code of ethics & professional conduct for investigators to abide by.
All members of the above professional bodies must abide by the code put in place and it is hoped for that other professional bodies will follow suit.
